Mike Fantasia

For thirteen years, Mike Fantasia worked in various natural resource-related jobs for the US Fish and Wildlife Service and US Forest Service. In 1989, Universal Pictures went on location to the small, remote town in Montana where Mike was living, and his career took a surprising turn. Since leaving his Forest Service job twenty years ago, Mike has worked as a location manager and production supervisor on over 30 feature films. Among them are "A River Runs Through It", "The River Wild", "Free Willy", "Dante's Peak", “Blow”, “Catch Me If You Can”, “Seabiscuit”, "Memoirs of a Geisha", “Munich”, "3:10 to Yuma", “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, “Quantum of Solace”. “The Green Hornet”, “The Amazing Spiderman” Mike is currently is working on “Look of Love” in Los Angeles. Work has given Mike the opportunity to travel to over 35 states and a dozen foreign countries. He has been nominated for four California On Location awards for Location Professional of the Year, and won that award in 2005 for "Memoirs of a Geisha" and 2010 for “The Green Hornet”. Mike is a proud twenty-year member of Teamsters Local 399 and is a founding member of the Location Managers Guild of America, on whose Board he now serves.
