Matthew Birch
President, Montana Artists Agency. Credits include "MIssion Impossible III" and "The Italian Job".
Matthew Birch joined Montana Artists Agency in January, 2009 and most recently has been named President of the company. Matt’s focus has been on expanding the agency’s reach internationally, as well as representing Production Service Companies and entertainment organizations worldwide. He brings with him 20 years of film production and development experience.
Previous to Montana Artists, Matt joined Endgame Entertainment in November 2006 as Senior Vice President, Physical Production. In his role at Endgame, Birch oversaw all physical production for Endgame Entertainment. He oversaw the production on "The Brothers Bloom" directed by Rian Johnson, starring Rachel Weisz and Adrien Brody. Birch supervised shoots in Belgrade, Serbia - Montenegro - Prague and Romania. He also oversaw "An Education," written by Nick Hornby and directed by Lone Scherfig which shot entirely in the UK.
Before joining Endgame, Birch served as Production Supervisor on a number of blockbuster films including two of Paramount Pictures highest grossing films "Mission Impossible III" (2006), and "The Italian Job" (2003), as well as Warner Bros. Pictures "Constantine" and Dreamworks/Paramount Pictures summer 2007 release of "Transformers" directed by Michael Bay. Birch was responsible for production and financial management from pre-production through production and worked with such top producers as Lauren Shuler Donner, Donald J. Lee, Jr., Paula Wagner, Donald De Line, Cherylanne Martin and Ian Bryce.
Birch was a production coordinator from 1999 – 2001 heading up production offices and coordinating for such films and specialty units as "What Lies Beneath", "Vanilla Sky" and "Along Came a Spider." Additionally, he worked on staff at Paramount Pictures as Staff Production Coordinator.
