Donne Dawson is Hawai‘i's State Film Commissioner and has served the State of Hawai‘i for more than 15 years building Hawai‘i's film industry, which during her tenure has brought more than $2.5 billion dollars to the state's economy.  Her office administers the consolidated statewide permitting system and the refundable production tax credit known and manages the 7.5-acre Hawai‘i Film Studio at Diamond Head, headquarters of the Hawaii Five-0 series.  Prior to directing the Hawai‘i Film Office, Dawson worked as a journalist, producer and communications professional dedicated primarily to the promotion of film, the environment, native Hawaiian issues, and community building.
