Carrie Jones

Carrie Jones’ role as Michigan Film Commissioner was the natural next step in a career dedicated to Michigan. Jones came to the Film Office after 11 years working for Michigan statewide elected officials. Since coming to the Film Office in 2010, Jones has worked closely with more than 80 productions that have wrapped in the state in the past two years. In 2012 she is leading the successful implementation of Michigan’s new film and digital media incentive program. She has also spearheaded an initiative connecting the state’s film industry with the popular Pure Michigan campaign to promote film tourism in the state. Raised in Michigan, Jones received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
