Andy Rosenblatt

Andy Rosenblatt is Founder and Executive director of Metropolis Films, a company born in his native Montevideo, Uruguay now present with its own offices and specialized staff in Buenos Aires Argentina, Venezuela, Puerto Rico (US) with production reach into Costa Rica, Chile, Peru and Paraguay. Given his educational and family background -he got a BA in Communication Arts/Film & Television/Business minor from The New York Institute of Technology and son from German/Jews - he is the perfect interface between US & European producers expectations and the South american production scene.
In the last 20 years Andy, his partners and their production team have produced hundreds of commercials and film services for advertisers and filmmakers from around the world. Clients include production houses from Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Montreal, Toronto, Rome, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, Holland, Poland, New Zealand, and from many countries in South America as well. He was recently appointed as a visiting Professor at Columbia University New York for a combined graduate course at the Film and the Architecture Universities in order to develop a Documentary project on notable Architects around South America. Before he founded Metropolis Films and two other production companies, Andy worked as a correspondant for TV World Magazine London, helped developed the Communication Arts program at Ort University in Uruguay, was a TV producer for Punto Ogilvy & Mather Montevideo and TV producer in Teledoce Montevideo, where he still does consulting. All that came after his first job cleaning the kitchen of a Dunkin' Donut store in Long Island while in school!
